How to list a Grok Bot on Bot Store
To list a Grok Bot, first make a public-safe copy, test its public preview, and write the listing around the job it completes. You must be authorized to list the Bot and responsible for any license, support, commercial-use, or resale claims you make.
1. Make a public-safe copy
Duplicate the working Bot and remove secrets, customer data, internal URLs, private examples, and references to files an adopter cannot access. State which connectors, browser sign-ins, or local setup the adopter must provide.
The official xAI sharing guide says anyone with the public link can view the shared identity, description, skills, and routines, so treat the configuration like a public document.
2. Confirm you can list it
Use your connected X identity to claim your own listing and keep evidence that you created or are authorized to distribute the Bot. A public `x.ai/bot` link is not proof of ownership, commercial rights, support, or permission to resell someone else's configuration.
The third-party Bot terms make creators responsible for rights, disclosures, sensitive information, and applicable commercial-use rules. xAI does not currently document a general paid resale program, so resolve any commercial-use uncertainty before charging.
3. Test the adopter journey
Open the share preview, add a fresh copy, connect only safe test data, and run the smallest representative task. Check the output, failure path, and every approval boundary. Record what you actually tested instead of turning a live link into a broad quality claim.
4. Write a useful listing
- Lead with the result, not a vague personality.
- Name the intended user and the required inputs.
- Explain the output and what the Bot will never do without approval.
- Use the official `https://x.ai/bot/…` share URL.
- Credit the real maker and avoid claims you cannot prove.
5. Choose free or paid carefully

6. Keep the listing current
