Grok Bot has its own weekly usage, separate from ordinary Grok and Cursor usage; xAI does not publish one universal numeric allowance or fixed price per task.

Which plans include Grok Bot?
The current first-party list is:
- SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus and SuperGrok Heavy.
- Cursor Pro, Cursor Pro+ and Cursor Ultra.
- Cursor Teams Standard and Cursor Teams Premium.
A linked SuperGrok subscription acts as a Grok Bot usage grant on the Cursor account; it is not a replacement Cursor plan. You do not need to buy a separate standalone Grok Bot subscription when an eligible plan already grants access.
Plan eligibility changes, so use the live account screen and the latest first-party page rather than an old comparison table.
Does Grok Bot use a separate weekly quota?
Yes. xAI explicitly says work handed to Grok Bot does not count against existing Grok or Cursor plan usage. Cursor says Grok Bot usage refreshes weekly and is measured by the agent work performed, including model tokens and steps, rather than by a simple message count.
The subreddit quota question and reports of fast usage drops show why the separation needs a direct answer. They do not reveal the size of every account's allowance.
What if I have both Cursor and SuperGrok?
xAI's FAQ says Grok Bot uses whichever linked subscription has more usage, while Cursor's detailed linking guide describes one Grok Bot meter on the Cursor account. Those explanations are not fully reconciled. Do not assume the allowances add together or promise a selection formula until the providers align their wording.
The same signed-in Grok Bot account shares its usage across macOS and iPhone; installing the mobile app does not create a second allowance.
How do I link SuperGrok to Grok Bot?
Cursor's official linking guide says an active individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, or SuperGrok Heavy account can grant Grok Bot usage to one Cursor account.
Check the Cursor account first. Cursor says the link is permanent: you cannot unlink it or move it to another Cursor account yourself after it is created.
- Open the Grok Bot plan screen and choose Link Grok Account.
- Sign in to the individual Grok account that holds the eligible subscription.
- Return to Grok Bot and confirm access appears on the intended Cursor account.
The link is a usage grant, not a new Cursor plan. It does not cancel, replace, or upgrade an existing Cursor subscription. SuperGrok Team, SuperGrok Enterprise, and SuperGrok Lite do not qualify for this linking route.
If the link option is missing after entering the app, fully quit and relaunch Grok Bot to return to the Get Started plan screen. If access lands on the wrong Cursor account, contact Cursor support; do not create another link in an attempt to move it.
What happens when weekly usage runs out?
If the eligible account has shared on-demand spending enabled, Grok Bot can continue using that spend. On-demand work is based on model and token cost rather than one flat task price. Otherwise, wait for the reset shown in the account's usage screen.
Before enabling spend, set a deliberate budget and stop broad or repeatedly failing tasks. Purchases performed by the Bot are a separate approval decision from paying for Grok Bot usage.
Is there a Grok Bot free tier?
The checked first-party pages describe access through eligible paid SuperGrok and Cursor plans. They do not promise a generally available standalone free tier. A product trial or temporary promotion is not the same as a permanent free plan.
Why do people report different usage?
Tasks vary by model, context length, tool calls, retries, websites and completed work. Community percentages and disputed spend stories are anecdotes, not a pricing table. Read Where Grok Bot usage goes for a completed-job measurement ledger.
Direct answer: Confirm an eligible plan in the live account, treat Grok Bot as its own weekly usage pool, and use measured completed jobs rather than guessed quotas or cost-per-task claims.
